Rochester Aardvarks Sponsorships
We are seeking donations from
sponsors to help offset the operating costs of the TITLETEAM
Rugby Football Club. We are active in the charitable community,
competitive on a national level, and provide a social and family
atmosphere for our members and the community. This financial security will
ensure the future success of the Rochester Aardvarks both on the field and
in the community.
There are a multitude of sponsorship
opportunities such as sponsoring matches, home tournaments, and after
match social functions. Also, there are numerous items appropriate for
sponsorship: logos on team gear, jerseys, uniforms, field banners, and
program ads. Sponsorship will enable the Aardvarks to promote the club
through advertising with local media, newspaper, television, and the web,
as well as posting schedules, game scores and summaries.
The Aardvarks will also
be representing the Rochester metropolitan area throughout the Rugby
Union, traveling to or hosting teams from all major metropolitan areas of
New York State including Albany, Binghamton, Buffalo, New York City,
Rochester, Saranac Lake, Syracuse, and Watertown. In addition to New York
State the Rochester Aardvarks will play or hosts teams from the eastern
United States and Canada including Connecticut, Delaware, Florida,
Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New
Jersey, Ohio, Ontario, Quebec, Pennsylvania, Vermont, and Wisconsin.
Several players have previously and currently represent the Aardvarks
nationally by traveling with U.S. Rugby teams, including the National US
team, the US Eagles, and the US rugby super league.
The team promotes themselves internationally by sponsoring tours abroad
or traveling with other local clubs to international destinations.
Destinations have included: Great Britain, Scotland, Wales, and Ireland.
The Rochester Aardvarks are planning a tour abroad to Australia and New
Zealand for 2004.
The Aardvarks hosts one annual tournament and
approximately 15 home games annually. These players along with the
spectators can exceed 1000 for the annual Lilac Tournament and 500 for
regular season games. With increased sponsorship, we hope to access
promotional ventures to boost attendance.
The Aardvarks receive local coverage through the Democrat & Chronicle and
local newscast such as RNEWS and News 10 NBC. In
addition the aardvarks will be promoting the sport of rugby by
broadcasting our games on leased access.
The Aardvarks are very active and diverse members of
the community. Occupations on the club range from Doctors and lawyers to
firefighters and local union workers. Players work and reside in every
part of the Rochester area. The Aardvarks are a talented rugby club with
players ranging in age from 15 to 50 from all walks of life. The rugby
club has been proudly representing the City of Rochester nationally since
1966.
In 1994 the Aardvarks launched their initial web site, In
1999 the aardvarks developed a new website www.rochesteraardvarks.com.
This provides the club a way to market nationally, keep Aardvark alumni
informed, and welcome new players and spectators to the club.
