This year, the club is hosting its 6th annual Rochester Cup Rugby Tournament on Sunday, May 20, 2007 at Aardvark Park all day long. All fans and sports enthusiasts are welcome to join us for a day of exciting, action packed rugby. What a great day to come out and play or watch rugby with excellent rugby, food, and people. This years tournament promises to be the largest tournament ever with expanded divisions and a full day of rugby leading up to the championship games

The championship teams for the Boys and Girls Premier division will receive a 50% discount off next year's entry fee, for their first premier side team (limited to first 10 players and 50% off the early registration price).

We will be continuing our tradition of the tournament social after the championship game. Each player will receive a ticket for dinner at the after tournamanet social which includes food and drink.

The Rochester Cup was born to increase the quality and number of competitions amoung high school rugby teams in upstate New York. Each year the travelling cup is returned to Rochester where teams compete to be crowned the champion and with that there named engraved permenantly on the Rochester Cup. The team holding the cup on tournament day is given the first seed in the tournament. The tournament winner will be awarded the coveted Rochester Cup, but with the award comes responsibility. As the champion, they are the guardians of the cup and must except a challenge from another team for the cup.

Your team is invited to participate in the 2007 United States Rugby Football Foundation (USRFF) Rochester Cup Seven's Tournament benefiting the USRFF Rochester Rugby Development Fund, located at Aardvark Park, one of the only privately-owned Rugby facilites in northeastern United States. The USRFF and the Rochester Rugby Development Fund are a 501(c)3 non-profit charity, all participant fees may be considered a charitible contribution for tax purposes. The premise of the tournament is to maximize the participation in the tournament between players and teams and allow the most number of games for a meaningful winner, that is why a per player fee is charged.

We have opened the tournament to allow particpants from outside the NYS Rugby Union, this will help to increase the competition as well as help foster the development of the sport. Teams have been invited from throughout the Northeast and Canada, already teams are expressing interest from as far away as Connecticut and Ontario.
